Anatrim: At a Glance
Everything about this product seems shady, including the way it is advertised, the poor copy on the website and lack of product information. As a matter of fact, it is extremely difficult to even find the “official” Anatrim website. It’s a lot easier, though, to find plenty of sites that call Anatrim a scam to be avoided. If a product must sink so low as to use email “spamming” in order to advertise (i.e. sending messages to people without their consent) suggests a disreputable source; Anatrim is an example of this.
The country of origin is unknown and it is also unknown who the manufacturer is, although some have found that the company’s domain name is registered in several countries, with Russian and the United Kingdom being just two of them. It is almost funny how poorly written the Anatrim website is. The company touts their product as ‘the most powerful fat loss blend available anywhere’ and liberally sprinkles logos on their website from news programs (BBC, CNN, 60 Minutes) in an effort to make one think that these shows have done stories on the product and have verified their claims. There are FAQs and testimonials on their site, but these too are badly written and almost laughable.
Anatrim: Facts
Anatrim states that its primary ingredient is an additive known as Anatrim Gordonii. This probably means Hoodia Gordonii, an appetite suppressant which was shown on that news program, since Anatrim Gordonii is not the name of any known plant. It would be easier to assume this was just a typo if it wasn’t mentioned again by the same name later in the site. Anatrim also contains garcini cambogia (assists in synthesizing fatty acids), green tea extract, dandelion (a diuretic), spirulina (a high-protein alga) and ginger root.
Although these are all natural ingredients without serious reactions, they probably will not induce the weight loss that the company promises. Their site recommends taking one to two capsules an hour before eating with water (as their site describes, a bit dubiously, with “a big large glass.”) An additional capsule can even be taken at bedtime to prevent late night snacking. You probably don’t want to do this, though, since the green tea in the ingredients list has caffeine, which can keep you awake.
Anatrim: Positive Features
- Everything included in this product is natural.
- Anatrim would be effective as an appetite suppressant if Hoodia Gordonii was actually included.
Anatrim: Negative Features
- The product is illegally marketed through spam emails.
- The manufacturer of Anatrim is not known or publicized.
- The company website is simplistic, poorly written and lacking in professionalism.
- Many of the company’s claims are hyperbole or “too good to be true.”
- The internet contains many warnings about Anatrim.
- None of the independent dieting websites have published any good reviews.
- The product is rather costly, with a one month supply costing $99.95.
Anatrim: Conclusions
It would be inconceivable that any sane person would purchase this product. Besides being very expensive, its origins and safety are a mystery. Don’t even think of buying this; several reputable sources sell products with Hoodia Gordonii which would make better substitutes.
