RapidSlim SX contains two proprietary blends and a combination of vitamins and minerals. The first blend has thermogenic qualities, designed to speed the rate at which fat is burned in the body. It is actually very high in caffeine, containing three types of tea (green, oolong and rooibos) and Caffeine Anhydrous. The second blend, for weight loss, contains Hoodia Gordonii, Soy Albumin extract, Quercetin Dehydrate, White Willow extract and Cissus Quadrangularis extract. This last ingredient is said to be a ‘scientifically validated’ extract from India, but it doesn’t state exactly what it does. Similarly, no information is given regarding the Quercertin and Soy ingredients. The product is to be taken twice a day, although the makers recommend that the user starts by taking 1 capsule twice a day (before meals) for the first three days, increasing the dosage to 2 capsules twice a day thereafter. The high caffeine content is likely to have some effect on the metabolism but because it is in such high amounts, it could also produce some unpleasant side effects such as dehydration, nausea and nervousness. An alternative product containing Hoodia Gordonii and less caffeine would be preferable for most consumers.
