Taboodia: At a Glance

As its name implies, Taboodia is a weight reduction supplement that includes the widely used hunger suppressant, hoodia gordonii. The maker is Tabolife, a firm that also makes an ephedra -based supplement named Tabolizer, which is presumably no longer produced since its controversial ingredient has been banned (nonetheless, its website still operates). Not much detail can be found about Taboodia. There seems to be two official web pages for the company, with one containing a little more data than the other. Both, however, are really just single page ads for the formula, and the only available links take you to a picture of the product label. Taboodia employs the marketing gimmick of filling their website with celebrity names and well-known news logos, to suggest that these people and networks endorse the product. But this is not so, which is revealed in the website’s fine print. Headlines have abounded about hoodia gordonii, and doubtless it has an impact in suppressing hunger. Taboodia asserts that it is unique from the rest because of the company’s ’24 hour’ diet plan, which can be used at any time, since the PM formula has no ingredients that act as stimulants.

Taboodia: Facts

Taboodia

Taboodia’s morning version is a combination of hoodia gordonii, chromium picolinate, green tea, citrus aurantium, and caffeine (as kola nut, yerba mate, and guarana berry). In addition, it includes a proprietary blend of cayenne, mustard seed, and bladderwrack, among other things. The P.M., or nighttime, formula has Chromium Picolinate, and Hoodia Gordonii in it, as well as apple cider vinegar, an ingredient which is considered to be beneficial for the digestive system and for the distribution of fat in the body. The capsules also contain L-Tryosine, Garcinia Cambogia, Vitamins C and B6, and a special blend including cayenne, apple fiber, and ginger. The A.M. dose should be taken half an hour before breakfast and lunch, while it is recommended that the P.M. dose be taken half an hour prior to the evening meal and before going to bed.

Taboodia: Positive Features

  • There are no stimulants in the P.M. dose, so it can be safely used all day.
  • The product includes in its ingredients hoodia gordonii and chromium picolinate.
  • The product includes in its ingredients the recognized antioxidant, green tea.
  • A two-week, complimentary trial offer is provided.

Taboodia: Negative Features

  • How much the product costs is not clearly indicated on the site and is located just in fine print under ‘terms and conditions’.
  • If a customer signs up for the free trial, they are also signed up for the ‘autoship’ option at the same time, which means they are charged monthly and automatically receive a month’s supply of Taboodia.
  • There is no evidence that the Hoodia Gordonii contained in Taboodia is certified to be authentic.
  • The official website contains almost no information.
  • No positive critiques pertaining to Taboodia are found on any independent diet websites.
  • Taboodia can only be purchased from the company over the Internet.

Taboodia: Conclusions

It’s not a great indication when the cost of Taboodia is disguised in the website’s fine print, as customers enrolling for the complimentary trial are liable to be shocked when they are charged $59.95 a month. A lot of customers dislike any kind of ‘autoshipping’ program, because frequently, those businesses make canceling very difficult. Along with this, not much is known about the makers of Taboodia, ‘Tabolife’, or just how authentic the product is. If someone is hoping to use Hoodia Gordonii as part of a diet program, they should purchase a product that has a reputation, from a well-known company.
