Xengevity - Does Xengevity Work?
Xengevity Overview
Xengevity is a meal delivery service that provides balanced, portion and calorie controlled food right to the customer’s doorstep. The company also allows individuals to become distributors for the product, in effect starting their own home-based business.
The Xengevity website is a professional and attractive site that gives a good amount of information about the types of meal plans offered, testimonials from satisfied customers and product details. Much of the site is dedicated to the ‘business’ side of the company and how the distribution/ sales representative agreement works. There are down loadable business agreements and information regarding the commission percentage paid for distribution for those interested in becoming involved.
For those who simply want to join Xengevity as a weight loss aid, the information is somewhat lacking. Apart from the testimonials, the only other useful feature is Xen TV which, at the time of writing, was offering the feature documentary ‘Supersize Me’ to view for free ( although a small donation to the site is suggested however).
Xengevity – Product Description
The Xengevity meal delivery service is much like the Bistro MD in that it offers portion-controlled frozen meals and snacks and is available in a number of different packages to suit the individual.
The program is offered in men’s and women’s plans of which one can choose between low fat 1200 calories or 1600 calories, vegetarian 1200 calories or 1600 calories and low carbohydrate. The customer can click on any date in the monthly calendar shown, to view what the menu for that particular day is, and can also choose between the 5-day a week or 7-day a week plan. The average cost for the 7-day plan is between $19.00-$23.00 per day, depending on the menu and includes three healthy meals but no snacks.
Although Xengevity does advise that the customer participate in regular exercise averaging at least 30 minutes per day, they do not offer any kind of guidelines, tips or suggestions in this area. Likewise, no support is available from professional dietitians or from fellow dieters in the form of discussion boards or chat rooms.

Xengevity – The Bottom Line
Diet meal plan delivery services are really a luxury for most people and although they may give the dieter a better idea of proper proportions, they do nothing to educate them in regards to meal planning, making healthy food substitutes or incorporating fitness into a routine. In addition to this, some users may find it restrictive to have to eat exactly what was on the scheduled menu for the day rather than have the freedom of choice.
It would make much more sense for anyone who wishes to learn about creating healthy, balanced and nutritional meals to make an appointment with a registered dietician or study the basics of low fat/ low carb cooking.
