Xylestril - Does Xylestril Work?
Xylestril Overview
Xylestril is a product marketed purely towards females. As well as a weight loss product, it claims to decrease PMS, increase libido, nourish skin and clear acne. It is also said to enhance breast size. There is no information about the company that manufactures Xylestril although it is known that the company also operates under the name Curvatrim, an identical product to Xylestril. Both products are only available online or on e-bay which is a well known tactic companies use to avoid FTC rulings. Xylestril claims to produce 8-12lbs weight loss in one week which apart from being unrealistic for most people is also not medically advisable. The company website does have an FAQ section although some of the more direct questions such as ‘How does Xylestril work?’ are not answered satisfactorily. There are a handful of available testimonials, most of which mention the success they have had in banishing their acne rather than weight loss. The company states that they have a 100% guarantee but there are no clear policies regarding refunds and returns.
Xylestril – Product Description
The ingredients in Xylestril are listed clearly on the company website although there is no information for the amount contained in each capsule. Obviously this is a big part of making an informed decision about whether to buy the product or not, and would certainly deter many customers. The ingredients listed are a natural blend including chocolate, green tea, soy, ginger root, dong quai, magnolia bark and cinnamon. Oddly enough, according to listings on independent websites, the ‘chocolate’ ingredient is actually ‘chocamine’, a cocoa extract which contains all the beneficial aspects of chocolate but without any fat or sugar added. It is encouraging to see green tea listed due to its anti-oxidant properties although this would not necessarily help the user lose weight. According to many of the independent reviews of Xylestril, none of the ingredients have been found to have the ability to do what the makers claim they will, i.e. enhance the libido, increase breast size or cause weight loss. Xylestril may help with PMS symptoms however, as dong quai is a substance that has long been used for this purpose. Again though, it is not known exactly how much is contained in the pill. Xylestril is a very easy product to take. It is recommended that 1 capsule is taken 2-4 times a day, or alternatively 2 capsules twice a day. It is advisable to take the pills at least 8 hours before going to bed, no doubt due to the caffeine in the Chocamine and green tea.
Xylestril Advantage
- All the ingredients in Xylestril are natural.
Xylestril Drawbacks
- There are extremely negative reviews of Xylestril to be found on the internet.
- The company provides no ingredient amounts or clinical research.
- The product contains no Hoodia Gordonii, known to be a powerful appetite suppressant.
- It is alarming that the same product now appears under a different brand name.
- It is highly unlikely that a pill can achieve all that is claimed, particularly the breast enhancement.
Xylestril – The Bottom Line
The makers of Xylestril offer the product at a discount rate of only $39.99, although state that it normally retails for $119.99. Why it is offered so cheaply is not known and the comparison to the ‘normal’ price is obviously a good sales technique. However, for a product that has such bad reviews and no solid research, even $39.99 would be a lot of money to spend.
